Dragon Hunters is a 3d platforming game for the Nintendo DS. It was developed by Engine Software in the Netherlands. The game is based around a 3d motion picture that was released in theatres across Europe and America in the summer of '08.
I have made a lot of the menu screens in the game, you can see some of the interfaces I have made in the images below. Most of the art was made by me, expect for the drawing in the top-left, the engine software logo, the image of the floating island and the 'select a game to host' screen:
Besides working on the menu graphics, I also worked on a lot of the levels. A game Designer would make a mockup level using blocks, and I had to make a visually interesting image on top of that layer in 3D. The images below only show a fraction of the work I have done. The game did not have a lightning system, so we had to manually vertex paint all the colors and lighting on the mesh(most of the textures are gray), we could also use about 10 32x32 textures per level, so a lot of creativity was needed. Hold your mouse over an image to view the wireframe and vertex colors.
I have also designed some levels for the multiplayers minigames of the game, check out some of the designs below. Move your mouse over an image to view the level design.
